Who We Are

The Far Northeast Neighbors, Inc. (FNN) origin began in the 1970's to promote unity and cooperation amongst neighbors in the far northeast quadrant of Denver.

As the far northeast community has grown, it has become more important than ever to coordinate the growth plans and become a powerful voice in deciding our community's future.

Far Northeast Neighbors' scope spans more than one dimension of the community development.

FNN monitors the quality of education being delivered in our schools and creates a forum where teachers, parents, and students may address their concerns.

As the community grows, both in residential and commercial development, FNN is there to provide a balance that protects the existing neighbors.

There is no better way to bring a community together than to promote their diversity and social views.  FNN works to bring all far Northeast communities together by coordinating social events ranging from culinary, sports, arts, and music.

Core Goals

• Education:
  • Work with Denver Schools to evaluate their successes and emulate them in our schools.
  • Evaluate the CSAP scores across a larger population to find improvement strategies.
  • Create a forum for patents, schools, and students to collectively resolve community concerns.
  • Paint success stories in the Newspaper.

   

• Growth:
  • Organize community leaders to discuss and amend growth plans by developers, city, and commercial entities.
  • Create a forum to approve airport (DIA) related growth and monitor air traffic noise.
  • Provide design input on the development of Green Valley Ranch and Parkfield Recreation Centers and monitor the Boys and Girls Club of Montbello.
  • Compile and recommend traffic improvements and submit recommendations to the city.

   

• Social:
  • Bring together and cross promote social highlights from each community.
  • Initiate a committee to represent each community to develop a once per year FNN arts, athletic, music, and ethnic event.
  • Promote neighborhood watch programs.

Our Purpose

The mission of Far Northeast Neighbor's, Inc. is to enhance and advocate the quality of life for all residents without regard to race, creed, or color.  We seek to coordinate, integrate, and educate all community members to find the effective synergies and to learn from one another.
